COURSE DESCRIPTION:
A study of the character and attributes of God, this course allows students to wrestle with questions they frequently ask, in a framework that draws the answers from Scripture. The course is designed so that the more students come to know God through careful study of His word, the greater will be their challenge to maintain a right relationship with Him. Scripture is integrated daily to give students a better grasp of who God is and how He interacts with His creation (A.C.S.I. Bible Curriculum).

MASTERING BIBLE STUDY SKILLS

Grade Level: 9
Length of Course: 1 Semester
Credits: 5 credits per semester

COURSE DESCRIPTON:
This course will equip students to study the Bible for themselves. It is designed to build enthusiasm for Bible study, with the teacher as the main encourager. It introduces three main steps of inductive Bible study: Observation, Interpretation, and Application (A.C.S.I. Bible Curriculum).

COMPARATIVE RELIGIONS

Grade Level: 10
Length of Course: 1 year
Credits: 5 credits per semester

COURSE DESCRIPTON:
This course is designed to be a compliment to the 10th grade social studies course. As students examine the history and culture of civilizations in the modern world, they will also study their religions. Emphasis will be put on the philosophies and practices of each religion, and how it compares to God’s Word. Students will gain insight into how ideas from various religions can infiltrate their thinking, and how to combat its negative impact on Christianity. Mission work and witnessing to different world cultures and religions will also be addressed.

UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES

Grade Level: 11
Length of Course: 1 year
Credits: 5 credits per semester
Prerequisite: None

COURSE DESCRIPTON:
This course provides a basis for a student’s personal understanding of a Christian worldview as contrasted with the worldviews of humanism, Marxism-Leninism, and cosmic humanism. Students examine these humanist worldviews as they impact ten essential realms of knowledge – theology, philosophy, ethics, biology, psychology, sociology, law, politics, economics, and history (A.C.S.I. Bible Curriculum).

ONE PLUS ONE: RELATIONSHIPS, MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

Grade Level: 12
Length of Course: 1 semester
Credits: 5 credits per semester
Prerequisite: None

COURSE DESCRIPTON:
This course presents the Christian principles involved in dating, marriage, and the family. It offers practical guidelines for establishing and maintaining a Christian marriage based on those principles. Students will discuss worldly values that are opposed to marriage and the family. Hard questions receive biblical answers, equipping students for strong, God-centered relationships (A.C.S.I. Bible Curriculum).

Credits: 5 credits per semester

COURSE DESCRIPTON:
This course challenges students with a biblical concept of career stewardship, while providing resources to help them build their own career plans wisely and faithfully. A key objective is for students to construct a post-high school plan of action that reflects knowledge gained throughout the course. The lessons lead students to discover their talents, to understand the important skill of decision-making, and to determine the will of God for their future (A.C.S.I. Bible Curriculum).
