Christina Banuelos

Christina Banuelos – Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Banuelos was born and raised in the Bay area and she attended ESCS in first grade. She has always worked with children in one way or another. Her jobs have included Preschool teacher, day care provider, teacher’s aid, substitute teacher and she is currently enjoying teaching her wonderful Kindergarteners. She is in her 6th year of full time teaching and is loving every minute. Mrs. Banuelos has two beautiful daughters and one handsome son who attend ESCS. She counts her job as a blessing from God.

Paula Stearns

Paula Stearns – First Grade Teacher

Who's Who Among American Teachers

Mrs. Stearns has lived in California all of her life. She grew up in Sacramento. She has taught at El Sobrante Christian School for 30 years. She enjoys taking photos God’s creation as she travels. Music is a big part of Mrs. Stearns' life and she is on the Worship Team at her church, and is in a singing group.  Family is important to her.  She has a wonderful husband,John.  Her adventurous daughter, Jessica, is serving with the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, and her terrific son, Peter, lives in Florida with his wife, Kelly, and their wonderful son, John.  She has a sweet mother who lives with her.

Fun Fact:  Mrs. Stearns was nominated for Walt Disney's "Teacher of the Year" in 2001.


Kathy Hendrickson
Kathy Hendrickson – Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Hendrickson was born in Cottonwood, Idaho. She was raised on a farm and went to a one-room school through sixth grade. She has been married to Phil for 35 years. Phil and Kathy live in Concord. Their three married daughters and one son are all grown and on their own. They have a granddaughter named Naomi and another grandchild on the way. Mrs. Hendrickson has taught second grade at El Sobrante Christian School for 16 years. She loves reading and playing games. She is a baseball nut and devoted Oakland A’s fan. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Donna Manguiat
Donna Manguiat – Third Grade Teacher

Mrs. Manguiat is a native of California and was born and raised in Oakland. She began her teaching career at ESCS just out of college. Three years later she left to get married and start a family. After her children were born she went on staff with her church, starting a school aged day care center, doing children’s ministries and church administration. She happily returned to ESCS in 2003. She is blessed to have a supportive husband, a son who is a college sophomore and a daughter doing graduate work in education.

Kelly Klobas

I was born in Berkeley and have lived in El Sobrante my entire life. I attended St. Mary's High School in Berkeley and went on to pursue my B.S. and teaching credential at St. Mary's College in Moraga. My mom, dad and older brother have been extremely supportive of my teaching career. During my time away from school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Jeannine Manguiat

Jeannine Manguiat-Siegmann – Fourth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Manguiat-Siegmann has lived in the Bay Area nearly her whole life.  She was raised in Oakland and went to Bishop O'Dowd High School.  After earning her B.A. at Westmont College in Santa Barbara she returned to the Bay Area.  She has played volleyball all the way through high school and college.  She is now coaching Volleyball for both boys and girls at the club level.  She recently completed her teaching credential and is pursuing her Masters Degree as well.  She was married in May 2007 and enjoys spending time with her new husband, Steve.

Lynette Dayce

Mrs. Webb was born in Brooklyn, New York but grew up in the Bay Area.  In college she was a Liberal Studies major with an emphasis in American Sign Language.  Orginally, she was going to be an interpreter for the deaf but followed her love of teaching and working with children.  She enjoys shopping, movies, theater, and spending quality time with her husband and family.

Tabitha Hoskins – Fifth Grade Teacher

Born in Houston, Texas in December of 1979, I later moved with my family later to the Washington, D.C. area in Northern Virginia. I grew up in Virginia with my parents, my younger brother, Nicholas, and my younger sister, Leslie. I graduated from Robinson Secondary School in 1997 and moved on to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, whereupon I graduated in 2001 with a B.S. in Education. God then called me to spend three years in northern China teaching English to both university students as well as elementary-aged children. I returned to the states where I received my Masters degree in Education from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee in 2006. While in Tennessee, I taught second grade for about two years. My husband, Ben, and I were married in June, 2006 and we quickly moved to California so Ben could work on his graduate studies at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley. My mother and brother still reside in Virginia, and my sister lives in Colorado. I love spending time with my husband, especially walking and hiking. I also enjoy leading worship and reading Christian fiction.

Erin Hammack

Mrs. Hammack was born and lived in Vallejo all of her life until moving to Concord in 2005. She attended Christian schools through high school. She enrolled in Napa Valley College and then transferred after 3 years to Sonoma State. Upon graduation she was accepted into the credential program at Pacific Union College. She met her husband as a senior in high school and they were married in November of 2003. They love to garden, hike, mountain bike, backpack, and cook. They climbed Mt. Whitney in 2002. Mrs. Hammack also loves to oil paint and crochet.

James Pedrotti – Sixth Grade Teacher
B.A. Social Science – Chapman University

Mr. Pedrotti, a lifelong Californian, was born in Walnut Creek and raised in Martinez.  He now lives in the delta town of Rio Vista with his wife Michelle and three small children.  In high school, he was the recipient of the California Scholar Athlete Award.  Mr. Pedrotti worked for nine years as a peace officer for the Contra Costa Probation Department.  He is a passionate reader of historical fiction.  On weekends, the Pedrotti family can be found camping in the mountains or at the beach where they enjoy the beauty and fresh air of nature.

Jean Bradbury

Jean Bradbury – Elementary Computer Teacher, Librarian

Mrs. Bradbury was born in Bremerton, Washington. Her father was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. She has traveled and lived in many different places, including the Philippines, and Hawaii. Mrs. Bradbury has a very supportive husband, two boys and a girl, 2 dogs, a turtle and currently 7 goldfish, all living at home. All three of her children have attended ESCS since kindergarten. Her favorite hobbies are Doll Collecting, and Tap Dancing. She also teaches Hula which brings back memories of her youthful days in Hawaii. She was a Travel Agent for 10 years but left that profession to spend more time with her children. She began volunteering at ESCS in a variety of areas which led to her current position as the Computer Teacher and Librarian.

Darren Ojeda – Elementary P.E. Teacher/Coach/ Childcare Director

Mr. Ojeda grew up in Richmond, California. He has been coaching sports from elementary to High School for over 20 years. He is the developer and director of our growing Sports Camp summer program. In addition he directs, supports, and supervises the all important facets of our before and after school extended care. His love for God and the children at ESCS shines through.

Lynda Camacho

Lynda Camacho: Music/Elementary, Jr/Sr High Band

Mrs. Camacho was born in Berkeley, California, where she lived until the age of 7. She and her family then moved to El Cerrito where she graduated from El Cerrito High School. She then moved on to Cal State Hayward where she graduated with a Music degree and then taught in several schools before coming to ESCS 16 years ago. Mrs. Camacho is a mother of three girls, and enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves to ski, travel, read good books and her newest hobby is quilting.

Connie Woulf

Connie Woulf: Reading Specialist

M.A. – Columbia University, New York, NY

Mrs. Woulf was born in San Francisco. After graduating from Stanford University and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, Mrs. Woulf embarked on the first of her careers: a reporter for a New York newspaper. Later, she worked overseas with the U.S. Information Agency before beginning work as a teacher: 19 years in the classroom and 20 as the director of Horizons Learning Center. Now, she supplies one-on-one instruction in reading and writing. Her beloved Sally, an English Springer Spaniel, keeps her company.
